Things i learnt from this successful workshop boss

I sent my car for servicing today. I arrived early. As usual, his men did the usual oil change and general maintenance work.
As i complained that the car had trouble reversing up slopes, the mechanic told me to wait for his boss to arrive.

I had a drink and then came back. The boss not in yet.

At around 11am, he then appeared totally calm and relaxed. He told me to take a seat first and went to check on a Q7. 15min later after he sorted out the audi problem, he went on a test drive with me.

He then connected his $30k diagnostic equipment and explained in detail that my car g sensor is out of number and did the recalibration and took my car for a few rounds of test drive. Problem fixed.
Then he showed me a video clip of how the sensors work in the car, as another customer was waiting right in front of his nose.

He told me that this new maserati in his workshop was the result of underuse. The owner had too many cars. Only uses it once a mth. Connected a car cctv and drained out the batteries. As a result the car computer failed and had to be sent to him for reprogramming.

Points

1. Be calm even when faced with lots of issues.

2. Tackle one issue at a time. Multitasking is no good. Better to settle one problem completely then move to the next rather than leave 2 or 3 problems half solved.

3. Never lose temper and cool. The boss arrived late. Had so many issues to settle and handphone ringing non stop. Yet i saw how he handled those problems. Really ai zai.
