My recipe for stock investment

A few simple rules and hey presto...

1) identify a list of dividend paying stocks with long history.

2) plan which one to buy such a way as to receive dividends every mth or at very least every 2 mths.

3) during initial construction of portfolio avoid buying stocks at/near their 52weeks or all time high.

4) keep on buying when dividend comes. Can supplement with active income.

5) rotate periodically when one counter runs up too high such that its yield is compressed.

Thats about it!

  3. Yes, looking at m1. Its a possibility. Price has come down quite a bit due to impending telco setup. This will strengthen 4 & 8 income. I am also giving some thought to hpl.
But for now, i am looking at adding more singtel sph & plife to strengthen the coming 12,1,2,5,8,9,11 income.
    Thanks.
